ZWISCHEN THEORIE UND PRAXIS: KÜNSTLICHE INTELLIGENZ IM DAF-UNTERRICHT AUF DEM PRÜFSTAND

Abstract: The current study aims to analyze the applied potential of three widely used artificial intelligence-based tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Poe) in the context of teaching Ger-man as a foreign language, as well as to assess their didactic contribution based on pre-de-fined criteria. Ever since its birth in the 1950s, AI has developed dynamically and opens up new perspectives for language learning and teaching today. However, the effective use of such technologies requires a conscious and critically reflective approach. This study is based on the method of documentary analysis as a qualitative research approach. Within the framework of the study of the three mentioned AI tools, six identical tasks were assigned, and the re-sponses that were obtained were further analyzed using descriptive analysis.
