Remote sensing technology and data analytics use technology to redefine underwater surveillance and management and provide efficient, precise, and widespread surveillance of marine environments. These auxiliary technologies combine ultradense webs of in situ instruments, orbital and sonar device imagery, autonomous and remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs), and enhanced machine learning algorithms to gather, synthesize, and evaluate extensive oceanic information on high space and time scales. This kind of integration makes it easier to notice early signs of illegal fishing, oil or gas pipeline leakage, changes in marine biodiversity, harmful algal blooms, and other dangers under the sea that pose a threat to ecological and economic status. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is provided under remote sensing techniques that cover broad areas of observation and a continuous scan of the surface, whereas analytics of the data are enhanced in the analytics sector of predictive modeling and anomaly identification in real time, in order to transform raw multisource data into consumable intelligence. This ensures real-time collaboration promotes evidence-based formulation of policies to protect the oceans and in matters of maritime security alongside efficient allocation of human and financial assets within challenging underwater contexts. Finally, data analytics, paired with remote sensing, will enhance the efficiency of operations, lower costs, and enhance long-term management of oceanic resources, which is a step toward smarter, adaptable governance of the sea.
