AIM4REAL addresses the challenges of developing artificial intelligence (AI) based solutions for personalised medicine. This includes differences in patient populations and AI working well with human experts, such as medical researchers. To address these challenges, we will develop new methods that can adapt to different settings and interact with human users. The project will be carried out mainly at the Department of Computer Science, Aalto University. We will carry out pilot studies with our partners from the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland and the Christabel Pankhurst Institute, Manchester, UK. This will ensure that the methods are suitable for personalised medicine applications. The project outcomes will have potential for commercialisation in the health technology and biotechnology industry, and wider societal benefits of improving the safety and effectiveness of medical products.
