AI-Driven Compliance Capabilities: The Impact and Risks of Artificial Intelligence in RegTech and SupTech Solutions

CCRS-AI is an ambitious multidisciplinary project to advance the theory of organisational capabilities, reconfiguring it for the era of artificial intelligence technologies in the novel complex regulatory environment of the European Union (EU). It focuses on the growing demands and oversight related to digital, data, and AI, and sustainability, where the surge in new EU legislation is unprecedented. CCRS-AI will develop and establish a new dimension: compliance capabilities. The project comprises four work packages to address critical gaps. It explores the transformative potential and risks of AI-driven RegTech and SupTech solutions for compliance in digitalisation, sustainability for businesses, and supervision for authorities. The project integrates insights into a unified framework for CCs, advancing academic discourse and providing evidence-based guidance to strengthen organisational resilience and foster sustainable, innovative economic growth in the EU.
