The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical and practical aspects of adapting insurance protection mechanisms for business entities to conditions of economic instability. The relevance of the research is determined by the significant complication of the risk environment in which enterprises operate, characterized by the increasing impact of military actions, inflationary processes, the digital transformation of the economy, cyber threats, disruptions in logistics, and the growing uncertainty of business activities. It is substantiated that under current conditions insurance should perform not only a compensatory function but also be integrated into the corporate risk management system. It is established that the modern risk environment is shaped by the simultaneous impact of economic, financial, military, cyber, environmental, logistical, and operational risks, which are interconnected and require the application of innovative insurance instruments. The current state of the Ukrainian insurance market is analyzed. The main development trends are identified. It is proved that these trends indicate an improvement in the financial resilience of the insurance sector while simultaneously revealing several systemic problems related to the insufficient development of war-risk and cyber-risk insurance, the limited use of modern insurance products by small and medium-sized enterprises, the inadequate integration of insurance into corporate risk managemen t systems, and the need for further digital transformation of the insurance market. Special attention is paid to substantiating practical directions for improving insurance protection mechanisms for business entities. A comprehensive set of recommendations is proposed, including the development of risk-based regulation, the integration of insurance into corporate risk management systems, the introduction of modular insurance products, the expansion of insurance coverage for war, cyber, logistical, and environmental risks, and the implementation of digital technologies. Practical directions for improving insurance protection mechanisms are systematized according to institutional, organizational, product, digital, financial, and educational and advisory dimensions.
